About National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases 

National Institute of Cardiovascular disease commonly known by its short-form NICVD is a well-known and prime heart disease center in Karachi, Pakistan. It was founded in Karachi in 1963 and since the day of its creation, it is catering to patients will all types of heart diseases and has become the largest known heart hospital in the Province of Sindh. It is known as the very first tertiary cardiac care institute in all of South Asia when it was established in Sindh and is the only Institute in Pakistan with the focus on the care and treatment of the patients, education of the new medical professional, and research in the field of cardiology. Now it has a chain of Health Care Centers in collaboration with the Sindh Government, which are performing their duties and made this institute as the only one that has performed nearly 4000 surgeries in the world.
