About National Transport Research Center
The National Transport Research Center is a part of the Planning and Development Division established in June 1974. Being a part of this division they provide technical support for the research and development of the transport sector. They are responsible for providing appraisal and planning of projects for the transport sector in a cost-effective and coordinated manner. Later in 1992, it was transferred to the Communication Division and since then it is a major and effective wing of the Ministry of Communication. They aim to provide a formulated policy for the development of a well-established and well-coordinated transport system. Their team coordinates to provide planning for all modes of transportation to maintain consistency. They also help and guide the Government of Pakistan in taking decisions regarding the investigation and research of transport facilities.
